Game Introduction
Who do you think is the better artist: Someone who draws with a tablet, or someone who draws with a trackpad / mouse? Go ahead, comment your answer, before we go on any further. What was your answer? Wait, let me guess, tablet? Why do you think that? A lot of good artists don't have tablets. @XxXxTrUtHxXxX only recently got a tablet, and she was an amazing artist even before that. @raspykoo draws with a mouse, and look at her awesome art! See that over there? To your left? Guess what that was drawn with. That's right, a trackpad. I normally draw using a tablet, but I just discovered that a trackpad is more difficult, sure, but it's still possible //gasp// No way! Y'know those block shades I made? The ones you seem to love so much? Yeah, the Nick Wilde and Bing Bong ones. Guess what they were drawn with? A trackpad. 2 of my best drawings ever were drawn with a trackpad. And it only took about an hour and a half. What I'm saying is, you can't call someone a bad artist just because they can't afford a tablet. Now, this probably won't work again (unless you weren't paying any attention AT ALL to the above), but let me ask this again: Who do you think is the better artist, someone who uses GIMP / FireAlpaca / some other fancy drawing program, or someone who uses the Scratch editor? Comment your answer. Don't worry, I won't snap at you for spamming me. Yeah, I bet that even if that's not what you answered, you thought someone who uses a different program until now. I use the Scratch editor, in case you didn't notice. Every single drawing I post is made on Scratch (except for that one time I posted something made in Flock, but that's unshared). I once saw a beautiful drawing, by someone who usually uses a different program. But that particular drawing was made in Scratch. It was perfectly shaded and everything. The only reason I didn't like it was because of the description. They said that it was impossible to draw something that good in Scratch, and that someone would have to be an idiot to use it. I was so close to climbing through the screen and ripping their throat out. Saying a tablet and / or a fancy program makes you a great artist is like saying as long as you have a piece paper and a pencil you're a great artist; it's not true and hurts a lot of artists' feelings! And I would go onto the subject of vector and bitmap bias, but I'm running out of characters So bye Oh and I'm not saying trackpad artists are better, I'm just trying to say that having a tablet or firealpaca doesn't automatically make you a great artist. Just because you have a pencil and paper, doesn't mean you can draw something great (but you might)
