Particle Life // Simulating life

Game Introduction

–––––––– Particle Life –––––––– Press space then click export to save, load to import a savecode, and "New ruleset" to access the editor. Share your savecodes here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/778083/ Use Turbowarp if you can: https://turbowarp.org/1062499535/?fullscreen I'd recommend using fullscreen. You might have to run this a few times to get a good simulation. ––– About A simple simulation where 'particles' (the coloured dots) move either towards or away from each other depending on certain factors and rules. These rules can be changed, so sometimes, for example, greens and reds will attract each other, while in other simulations greens will pull reds but reds will push greens. Small changes can create wildly different results. These simple rules create some really complex behaviour that sometime even resembles bacteria! This is sort-of like an 'analogue' version of Conway's Game Of Life. ––– Controls - Click and drag to move the camera. - Scroll or use the arrow keys to zoom. - Press space to pause. - Pressing space also opens the options menu, which lets you customise the simulation and save/load. ––– Credits Tom Mohr for the force function: github.com/tom-mohr Wouldn't this make a great screensaver? Apparently this does something? #life fun! :D
