Opération : Espion Extraordinaire // Junco Application
Game Introduction
(cont) He loves being spoiled and has his butler Sir. Rock the Fifth divvy up his prey and season it. Because of this, upon journeying he will realize that he is incapable of hunting or even slicing his own prey. Being a picky eater, he will cringe away from the sparse food selections. "But that smells like dirt! How am I supposed to pounce on something that's MOVING?" He would gasp out in horror. "No no no, I refuse to eat it! The prince flops down in agony, does no one realize the misery that's casted across the Espion like a vicious avalanche? He's going to starve in this vast, cruel wilderness! *sobs*" ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ Spy gear/mannerisms: A large leaf and pinecone disguise: "This is a mask, not a leaf! Place it on like so, and add the pinecone by balancing it utop one's ears. See? I'm demonstrating, Agent Snowbird is completely unrecognizable! I bet you don't even know who's speaking to you right now! Oh, you do? Uh, well, that's because I put it on in front of you! The prince meant to do that! You're his royal confidant, tell no one of what you've just witnessed!" Leaf bomb: His version of a smoke bomb. He will scoop up leaves and toss them in your face before narrating his escape, unaware you can still see, and hear him. Theme song: Hums his own made up theme song as he sneaks around, believing the song is only heard in his head, unaware he's singing aloud. Views almost any task as a mission: Ex: Catching a falling leaf is now Mission No. 47: Leaffall.. He will then narrate and proceed to struggle in catching the leaf. "Another success!" Codes, and secret signals: Oftentimes he will run up to his siblings with news: Ex: Junco whispers to a sibling: "Meet me at dawn, near the hidden fortress. Code red: the zebra has eaten the cake." His sibling, genuinely confused, might ask, "What are you talking about?" and Junco would answer with utter seriousness, "It's obvious! The cake's gone, and we must strategize how to retrieve it!" His clumsy tounge can cause offense: “It’s nice and serene here, but the countryside... it’s ethereal—light years away from this... quaint location.” He often makes many comparisons to the country side in this manner. ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ Form: Username: @Rain-Whisper Hello! I'm Raine, thank you for taking the time to read through all of this. I had been eyeballing this litter for a while and ultimately decided to apply! <3 Nickname: Call me Raine pls! Though occasionally I'll go by Rain or Whisper. I'm also up to new nickname suggestions! Who are you applying for?: Junco!!! Past and present characters: Umbrafever, 84 moons (RC), Sleipnir 25 moons (Loner), Petunia's __ 13-15? Moons (TSD) Since I have two character slots already filled, sadly, i'll have to let go of Sleipnir. However, she has had a very fulfilling life, and I'm really happy with her. If I win, I'll have her oorp get adopted by a twoleg as a security kitty (like a security dog) and the twoleg would move far far away with her. Junco's Sexuality and gender: amab, he/him/his, straight All felines are lovely, but he's more attracted to feminine kitties. + Optimistic, Affectionate, Inventive, Playful, Resilient = Whimsical, Sentimental, Dramatic, Persistent, Imaginative – Clumsy, Spoiled, Naive, Self-important, Impulsive. Thoughts on their younger siblings and their situation: He idolizes his older siblings, and therefore will 'borrow' - okay, steal- tales of their accomplishments to tell to unsuspecting felines to act like he did the awe inspiring task. As for his younger siblings, he can't wait to finally play the 'I'm older than you' card, and hopes that once he finds his younger siblings, he'll be regarded as a cool hero and spy. The situation is really exciting, as he gets to see the world. However, the longer he journeys, the more he misses his spoiled life and realizes he struggles with the most mundane tasks. Character arcs/plot ideas: His lies of stealing his siblings deeds and coining them as his own catch up to him. He realizes life isn't always fair and easy and has to learn how to care and provide for himself, like hunting and eating properly. ((Think Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog)) Perhaps he adds two cats to his friend group for a three musketeers themed friend group in the future since his French name is Porthos Voice claim/s: His voice is a combination of Razor, Mika, and Tighnari, being inconsistent in pitch. He sounds kinda young and nerdy, like an oversized kitten. His favorite things always changes, like his favorite color or prey, he's pretty indecisive and tends to eventually group everything as his favorite due to his hoarding nature. ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ “Quick! To my secret hideout! It’s hidden in plain sight, of course, because no one would think a real spy would hide so boldly.”
How To Play
“I assure you, my mess is merely… an elaborate filing system.” ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ The scent of fresh leaves and damp earth fills the air as you step into the clearing, where the sound of frantic rustling catches your attention. There's also a faint whiff of mulled cider as you see a figure hunched over, furiously gathering various random objects: a brittle shard of bark, a delicate reed, a half-rotten twig, and a few other trinkets you can’t quite make sense of. Wait... is that Junco? You’ve seen him from afar, his clumsy antics always amusing his siblings. He’s the youngest of the lot, a tom with grand dreams of royalty and espionage, but more often than not, he ends up covered in mud or tripping over his own paws. "What are you doing?" you can’t help but ask, your curiosity piqued. Junco freezes mid-motion, his ears flicking as if you’d startled him. He quickly regains his composure and straightens up, puffing out his chest. “Ah! I'm preparing for my trip," he says with dramatic flair, an overzealous grin spreading across his face. “These are essential items! I can’t bear to part with them—each one has great meaning!" He gestures to the mess of items, his words tumbling out faster than his paws can keep up. "Like this reed! It reminds me of my first crush..." A nostalgic sigh exited him, " I was rejected, but there were happy moments! And this bark... it’s my lucky talisman after I had a nightmare! Never had a bad dream since, of course!" He gives a proud nod, blissfully unaware of the absurdity of it all. You stifle a laugh. “Right…” He was going on a trip with all of that? Junco's eyes suddenly widen in horror. “Egads! My disguises!” With a gasp, he darts off, and you half-consider sneaking away before he returns. But before long, he’s back, dragging a large leaf and a pinecone. You raise an eyebrow, unable to resist asking, “Are THOSE supposed to be disguises?” “Quelle horreur! Super spy Junco, codename: Snowbird, has been discovered! Divert! Divert! Leaf bomb!” Junco exclaims, scooping up a pawful of leaves and tossing them dramatically in your direction. He plops the leaf onto his head and balances the pinecone precariously between his ears, whispering to himself, “The Espion makes a daring escape, fully disguised and unrecognizable!” You can’t hold back a smirk as you watch him ‘sneak’ off, struggling under the weight of his treasure trove and ‘disguise.’ His voice trails behind him as he narrates his ‘escape,’ the exaggerated stage whispers doing little to help his ‘stealth.’ Then, with a sudden stumble, he trips over a stick, sending his belongings flying as he lands with a clumsy thud. “Waaaaah—oof! Erm… all according to plan. The prince meant to do that,” he wheezes, clearly winded yet undeterred. Amused and a little baffled, you watch as he scrambles to collect his scattered 'valuables,' utterly unshaken in his fantastical beliefs. [Srp end] ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ “Flirting? Oh, I’m an EXPERT. Why, just last moon I nearly dazzled that she-cat with my charm. Until… well, until I walked into that bramble.” Who is this larger than life character? Why, it's Junco! He goes by many names, Juni. Junbug. Jupie. Nico. Cola. Codename: Snowbird. His french name is Espion Porthos, (like the fun, bold, lavish lifestyle adoring musketeer) though he also calls himself Espion Neigeoiseau (Spy/Agent Snowbird) Junco is a quirky young tom who seems to live halfway between reality and a grand adventure of his own imagining. He’s self-styled as a princely spy, eagerly embodying roles of noble heroism and espionage (albeit with limited success). A hopeless romantic at heart, Junco’s love life is as disastrous as his spycraft; crushes come and go, and his awkwardness means they rarely end well. Known for his clumsiness, he's often seen tripping over his own paws or colliding with branches mid-sneak. He’s also a notorious hoarder, collecting random items—a cracked bark shard, a "lucky" pebble, a wilted reed—each with a story that he’s probably borrowed from his siblings' actual experiences. His attempts at keeping "pets," whether a beetle or a wayward leaf pile, inevitably end in disarray. Yet, despite his haphazard ways, Junco exudes a peculiar charm, drawing others into his whimsical world of daring rescues, leaf bomb “diversions,” and dramatic escapes from dangers only he can see. He regards himself as a hero for his younger siblings, and can't wait to be idolized by the rescued kitties. However, he is far from being a successful spy. He sneaks in an exaggerated manner, often trodding accidentally on twigs, stage whispering everything he does in third person narration. He's convinced no one notices him despite being very obvious. Most don't have the heart to tell him, and even if he was told that he was the opposite spectrum of sneaky, he wouldn't believe whoever told him. (Cont)
