Announcing The Warriors FanZine 2025!

Game Introduction

How To Play

APPLICATIONS OPEN: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1120187094 After a solid two or so weeks of work, I’m happy to announce that yes, the Warrior Cats FanZine will officially be happening! For anyone who hasn’t seen my initial project on the zine back from December, in short, the Warriors Fanzine (sometimes abbreviated to WFZ) is a scratch-based and digital fanzine based around the Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter. But first, I should probably explain what exactly a fanzine even is. In short, a fanzine, also called a zine, is a collection of fan-made works surrounding a piece of media, such as a show, movie, book series, or comic. However, it should be noted that fanzines aren’t just a collection of random pieces of fanart taken off of google. Instead, the art featured within them is made specifically for the zine, by people contributing to the zine. Fanzines are usually themed around a single theme, such as an AU, ship, characters, and the sort. This brings me to my next announcement, as the Warriors Fanzine is no different. The theme for the 2025 Warriors Fanzine is based around all arcs of the main-series books (not counting Changing Skies / the newest one)! In the zine, there will be eight sections, each section being dedicated to each arc, such as The New Prophecy, Omen Of The Stars, Dawn Of The Clans, and more. With all of this being said, I’m sure a lot of you have several questions, one of which likely being, “how can I join?”. Well unfortunately, applications are not yet open. However, they will be opening via a project shared on this account / @VenusWolfeMF on January 21st at 8 AM PST / PDT! I will unfortunately not be doing pings for it though as I expect myself to be very very busy around that time, so apologies for that! Getting to just work on prepping a project that has arguably not really been done on a large scale before on Scratch, has been so exciting. So needless to say, I'm quite thrilled to work with all of you on this in the coming months! If you want to learn more about the fanzine, such as the rules for the zine, an extensive FAQ, the timeline for it, and more, then check out the fanzine's official account, @Warriors_FanZine ! Right now there's only five projects on there, but as time goes on, more will be uploaded, including update projects every other week once contributors are accepted and there will be a complete list of everyone working on the fanzine. Well, that should be all! Once again, if you're interested in applying to the zine then check back on January 21st, 8 AM PST / PDT. If you have any questions then it's ok to ask them here, but I would HEAVILY prefer you to ask any of them on the FAQ project, linked below. Lastly, I want to extend all my thanks to everyone who has supported the idea of the fanzine happening, as well for anyone who is interested in joining. See you all on the 21st!
