It saw the epic clash of light and dark, ending in a decisive victory for the former in the early morning of May 2nd, 1998. ✦-✦-✦-✦-✦ The conflict culminated in the death of arguably the most dangerous Dark wizard of all time and the survival of the Boy Who Lived, thus signaling an end to the Second Wizarding War. Neither can live while the other survives... In addition to reading various details about the battle, it is possible to play as one of six characters who fought the war by accessing the game menu. You can duel the CPU with three levels of difficulty or engage in combat with another user in a further enriching real-time multiplayer experience. Although the production process of this project was started and shortly halted in 2014, the idea of having a multiplayer duel game was only formulated about a month before its release. My interest in dabbling with multiplayer on such a platform has been a long time coming, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. The song that plays in the main screen is 'Open at the Close' by the wizard rock (wrock) act Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls. The lyrics reflect Harry's frame of mind as he prepares for what he believes is his final stand against Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. The game menu's music score is 'Courtyard Apocalypse' from the eighth and final Harry Potter film. It is a beautifully poignant track and was partially chosen as it is reflective of the in-game environment.
How To Play

Furthermore, running minimal data streaming tabs is encouraged for best performance. ✦-✦-✦-✦-✦ Choose between six characters in this fun game and duel against the CPU or even an actual person*! Help to attack/defend the Hogwarts castle depending on to which side your allegiance lies: The Death Eaters (Lord Voldemort, Bellatrix Lestrange & Lucius Malfoy) or the Order of the Phoenix/Dumbledore’s Army (Harry Potter, Ron Weasley & Hermione Granger). The central HUD on the top of the screen displays a randomly generated colour of the spell to be cast. It is up to you to scroll through the seven available colours of your player HUD (located above your chosen character) with the left and right arrow keys and press the spacebar to hurl a curse. Produce the correct spell and the opponent’s health will decrement by one. Fail to do so and you will lose a life. Each character possesses eight lives to begin with. The game ends when one of the players is defeated by the other. When duelling against a human, a minutes’ countdown will determine a draw if the clock runs down to zero. Only two players can duel at any given time. If the two duel slots are taken, please try again in a minute. In the case that you are the initiator of a duel and awaiting an opponent, you will be assigned the left character position. A beep will sound to inform the initiator that the second player has joined. If you are the second person to join a duel, you will be assigned the right character position. * Playing against another human requires you to be logged in to your Scratch account. Users with the ‘New Scratcher’ status won’t be able to participate in such duels due to cloud data restrictions.
