I am obsessed with this one YouTuber's DIY videos (more about this in the credits) so I thought I'd recreate this particular video using coding, my own art and voiceovers! It was really fun to create, so I hope you have fun making your ice cream pens! Let me know how it went below! <3 ♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚ ♡ Instructions ♡ (read these for more detail!) You will need... • Beige polymer clay • Pink, orange and white polymer clay (or any colours of your choice) • Ruler • Ballpoint pen (not anything fancy, because it's going inside the cone) • Glue • Black card (forgot to mention but you'll also need red card if you want blush on the faces) • Rolling pin • Scissors 1) Take the beige clay out of its packet and warm it with your hands so it's easier to mould. Then, roll it out. When you're done rolling, it should look a bit like a diamond. Use your ruler to cut diagonal lines down the clay (for the waffle cone effect). Do this both sides. Then cut the sides and top off (as shown in animation). Now roll the clay into a cone-like shape. Make sure the tip of the cone (once rolled) is flat and NOT pointed. If it's pointed, then the pen won't be able to fit inside. 2) Now you need to take the pen apart to see if it fits inside the cone. If it doesn't, you'll have to take your cone apart and repeat what you just did. If it does, awesome! Leave it to bake in the oven for twenty minutes (but obviously take the pen out first or you will have a melted pen). 3) Take your first (bottom) scoop of clay out of the packet and warm it with your hands like before. Grab a little tinfoil and roll it into a ball, then start to mould the clay around the tinfoil. Repeat this for the other (second and third) scoops and leave them to bake in the oven for forty minutes. [side note: the tinfoil is used so that it's easier to roll the clay into a dome like shape. Make doubly sure that the scoop is not spherical, but flat at the bottom.) 3) Get your baked cone and the pen out. Cut the top of the pen off so that it fits inside the cone and then put some glue on the tip of the pen so the ink doesn't leak out. Then, glue the top and bottom of the cone's inside and slide the pen inside. Leave it to dry. 4) Back to our scoops of ice cream. Glue the scoops together. Then cut cute eyes and mouths out of your black card (and the blush out of your red card) and stick it all on. Glue the bottom of your scoops and stick it on the top of the cone. Leave it all to dry. 5) You're done! I hope you like your brand-new ice cream pen! :D ♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚ ♡ Project Achievements ♡ ○ Trending 7th 11/01/18 ○ Top Loved 8/01/18 ○ Top Remixed 13/01/18 ○ 1300 ♥︎'s 14/01/18 ○ 2000 loves 20/01/18 ○ 2200 loves 01/02/18 ♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚ ◎ Time: 48+ hours ♪ Music: @ivypool2 ✎ Art and Coding: @ivypool2, using close references from Nim C's DIY Ice Cream Pen video ✲ Program: Scratch Vector Editor ✑ Font: borrowed from @FontGod ♡ Comment "DIY" if you read this far down. ;) The whole tutorial is based on this YouTube tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtk46ZGBwAo I learnt everything and got all the instructions from there.
