i'm sorry.
Game Introduction
Certain events have transpired. Lives were lost. Nature lies in ruins. Only a certain unnamed individual can be the culprit. Yet he dares to apologize for it all. Hmm... In "i'm sorry", your goal is to find this individual. You can hear him in your thoughts, and he can help you. But you're too angry. You will stop at nothing to hunt him down, by traversing through abstract areas and learning new powers unheard of in traditional platformers. Platformers are perhaps the most popular kind of game on Scratch. I think this is because they are easy to program and easy to play. I've wanted to make my own platformer for a while, but I didn't want to fall into the trap of making a generic "red is bad" platformer. Therefore, here is my first attempt at a "non-generic" platformer; one with a story, and one where you do more than just run, jump, and avoid red. Surprise! This game was curated on September 3, 2018 by @Flique. I didn't even suggest this to be curated — thanks, dude! How To Play
WARNING: The story in this game may be a bit sad. Instructions are in the game. But, if you forget the controls, and you are okay with seeing spoilers, scroll to the bottom of the Instructions. Don't look at the comments if you don't want spoilers. All levels are possible. If you suspect that a level is impossible, you can press 'q' and 'w' at the same time to skip the level, once the portal appears. If you get stuck somehow, you can click the green flag again, and you'll start at the level you were stuck at. It is possible that the game may crash at times. I am very sorry if this happens, but I have no way to fix it. Simply close out of this tab, reload Scratch, and try the game again if you wish. Beat the game in under 100 deaths and no skips for a secret ending. The secret ending is the good ending. ===== UPDATES ===== 9-1-2018 (Version 1.0): The game was posted, and subsequently edited by fixing the text engine spacing and adding a "skip level" feature. Thanks to @frodewin and @PegasusHT, respectively, for these suggestions! 9-3-2018 (Version 1.1): Guys, I think I fixed the crashing! Now, whenever you "crash", you will instead just die. If it still crashes, please let me know — I didn't test this out too much. Scratch 3.0 should also lessen the crashing. 9-8-2018 (Version 1.2): Edited the game just a little bit to hopefully fix the crashing a little more, especially in the last area of the game. Unfortunately, I don't think this will completely fix it. ===== SPOILERS BELOW ===== CONTROLS Use the left and right arrow keys to move left or right. Press the up arrow key to jump or wall jump. Press 'q' and 'w' once the portal appears to skip a level. Avoid red, or else you'll die. Levels 10 to 40: Press 'z' to swap ground with red. Levels 20 to 40: Press 'x' to phase through ground. Levels 30 to 40: Press 'c' to rotate the ground. Levels –9 to –1: Use the mouse to drag blue platforms.
