Rune Duel - A 2-Player Fighting Game
Game Introduction
This game was inspired by and uses music from Jagex's Old School Runescape. Music used: Newbie Melody (Title Screen) Harmony (Grassland, River Lum and Cross) Fanfare (Battlefield, Barricades, The Ruins and Battlefield II) Al Kharid (Arena) Starlight (Snowy Field and Fight Ring) Sea Shanty 2 (The Island and The Beach) Greatness (The Castle) Flute Salad (The Pond and The Divide) Knightmare (Dark Fortress I-V and The Showdown) Everlasting Fire (Brimstone, Wilderness Volcano and Lava Moat) Updates: #1 (4/24/2018): Added shields to some special attacks and gave the Paladin one. #2 (4/25/2018): Gave each class a chance to take 0 damage from an attack based on their DEF. It chooses a number between your DEF and 2,000, and if it's over 1,900 it will block. Added 3 new ranged classes! #3 (4/26/2018): Ranged classes are finished and can now be used by both players! Added a draw screen. Added 3 new maps, some with walls (which are very glitchy). #4 (5/1/2018): Fixed ranged classes for Player 2. Started work on magic classes, starting with the Pyromancer, Cryomancer and Warlock. Also fixed ranged weapons dealing melee damage. Working on the Bard, a unique class which starts off weak but gradually gets stronger as he jams out to his heart's content. Added 2 new maps. #5 (5/2/2018): Finished work on the Bard. Added 4 new maps. Remade weapon graphics (Stage 1 of Graphical overhaul)! #6 (5/3-4/2018): Remade Knight and projectile graphics (Stage 2 of Graphical overhaul)! Walls were also fixed. Added health bars too! #7 (5/7/2018): Added a random map option. #8 (5/8/2018): Added 8 new maps! Fixed bug where knockback could throw you over walls, and one where you could lunge through them. I also fixed an infuriatingly hidden bug that set all classes' stats to those of an unbuffed bard. Increased HP of all classes to lengthen games. #9 (5/9/2018): Fixed a small bug. All that's left to do for this game is to add audio. #10 (5/10/2018): To celebrate the 10th update, I added a joke class, the Hammerer! This class is extremely weak but knocks back opponents really far. This class was made to work with the 4 new maps with environment damage. #11 (5/24-25/2018): Added a class help button, and a few other things. Fixed knockback directions. Remade shield graphics (Stage 3 of Graphical overhaul)! #12 (8/3/2018): I have been holding off on this, but it's finally here. The audio update. Lots of music and sound effects have been added, the title screen has been animated and a balance bug has been fixed! This is the end of Rune Duel's development.
