Chaos Cave | A chaotic cave game Notes | Extra info - This is an entry into @Toadfanschool's 4,000 follower game contest, I hope I do well in it. - Shorter cooldown than in my previous shooter game, Solo. - There is a warning before a spike appears, it's not luck. - I feel like I accidentally made this game look like I stole it from an unshared project by @Toadfanschool. I didn't mean to. :( - The volume button controls only sound effects, if you don't want any sound then just mute your computer. Credits - Art All art created by me, @Archival. However, I used @Toadfanschool's person design from his game "Fast Food" as a reference while making the blue guy. All other art was created solely by me. - Sound effects bfxr.net - Music Intro music: TheFatRat - Prelude Menu music: Kuba Te - Desire Game music: Kuba Te - VooDoo - Code All code was made by me, including the physics engine, which is an edited version of a platformer engine I made a while ago. @-Alkali-'s projects helped me get a better sense of how to do the bouncy stuff in the title. - Idea I came up with this concept myself, including the menu design, but I'd like to thank @Toadfanschool for creating his competition and the theme, because without that this game wouldn't have been possible. The different characters idea cannot be credited to a particular person as it is a widespread concept and was not created by any particular scratcher. Character inspiration Astronaut - @Agentquirt's "'Naut" Ninja - The stealthy black people hiding behind you! Oh, they were too quick. You missed them. King - King George. Highscore Current highscore is held by @danels7 - 6485 Update log: June 20, 2018 - Project released June 20, 2018 - Bug fixed. You could get stuck at the edge, but I fixed that. Thanks to @Fatal_Dubstep for pointing it out. June 20, 2018 - Menu lag removed. @Relfirm helped by explaining how to fix it. June 23, 2018 - Fixed alignment issue with the selector. It is now aligned properly with the buttons June 23, 2018 - Lowered height of the characters "Archival" and "Demon" to make them the same height as the others June 23, 2018 - You now keep your unlocked skins until the page is reloaded June 23, 2018 - You can now use the W, A, and D keys to move, as well as the option of shooting by pressing the mouse.
