Prologue of Soul of the Forest

Game Introduction

Soreil wakes up in a strange glade with no memories of her past. To make things stranger, she finds she has wings and she meets a talking bird named Rolant! Keep looking out for the first full episode: A memory. Also, I know the animation and voices are terrible, but hopefully it will get better with each episode. Even though it's not the best quality, the story of Soreil is suspensful, heartbreaking, filled with action, and unbeleivably amazing. also, just so you all know, I already wrote this as a full book! just wanted to point that out. :) THE ACTUAL STORY! I woke in a strange glade. Trees surrounded me as looked up into the bright blue sky. I was lying on my back, in the soft grass. I sat up, and looked saw bright blue and soft purple wild flowers, blanketing the ground. A small pool of water sat at the far end of the clearing. I stepped up to my feet, and wobbled as I carefully walked towards the pond. I was parched, and when I reached the clear pool, I fell to my knees and gulped the water down my throat as fast as I could manage. When I drank my fill, I ran my fingertips through the top of the water, creating ripples that followed me. I giggled, and stopped, watching the water closely. When the ripples died, I glanced at my reflection, but was quickly engulfed in it. My hair was long and black, with silver feathers set at irregular intervals. I turned my head, and was surprised that when the sun hit my hair just right, it turned a navy blue. My eyes were a bright blue-silver and my skin was paper white. My lips were a deep blood red, and I opened my mouth, to reveal a set of perfectly set teeth. I wore a long black gown, stitched with white floral patterns. I stretched my arms, and felt something strange on my back. A set of muscles, I was sure I hadn’t used before, revealed itself. I flexed them, watching my reflection. A large set of deep blue wings unfolded, and I gasped with shock. They were beautiful, and I could see the different muscle tones in them. I flapped them about, and as I was admiring myself, a voice appeared from nowhere. “Are you ever going to stop admiring yourself? By gods, humans truly are vain creatures,” said the light airy voice, obviously male, yet it flowed like a song. I turned to see a small blackbird sitting on the ground next to a daisy. “Huh?” I said. Not knowing what to do, I jerked backwards, a flailed into the pond. The weight on my wings was terrible, and I scrambled back out. I flapped my wings as fast as they would go, to rid them of the water. “My, my, you truly are a funny one aren’t you?” he said again. I stared in shock. This was the creepiest thing that ever happened to me, and he chuckled, obviously enjoying my fear. “Well, I can see your never going to change, at least not any time soon. Well, let’s get on with the introductions now, shall we? I’m Rolant. And you are…” he trailed off, expecting me to answer. But I didn’t have an answer. I looked up into his eyes, and something told me he was waiting for something other than just a name. Then I understood. I thought long and hard, almost a full hour, and then I decided. “Soreil,” I said. I loved the flow of the words, the way the r rolled on my tongue, and how it reminded me of something warm, something that brought me to paradise. “Soreil Moch,” I repeated, adding a last name. The bird’s eyes widened, but quickly returned to their usual state. “Yes. I believe that name suits you. Well, Soreil, I’d suppose we’d both like to find some civilization before the coyotes find us. I do not want to see you attempt to fly this early in the game,” he said, using a more serious tone than before. “What game?” I asked, puzzled by his choice of language. What game was I playing? It didn’t make any sense. “The game of fate,”
