In the iBook "Teaching Scratch" you can find material for teacher and parents that want to explain children how to program scratch.
How To Play
This is a lesson prepared for pupils of 9-13 years old that have not used Scratch before. It was first taught for 20 children in class 5C of the Ugglum School in Partille. These pupils of 11 year old needed 60 minutes to build this game themselves. We ended up with 20 different games, since children are so creative... they take different colours, different sprites, different tracks. Great fun!
