MIDI Toolkit
Game Introduction
** MIDI Toolkit v2.0 is now available! ** My new Guitar Hero/Piano Tiles style game written using the MIDI Toolkit: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/292631647/ New customisable music player based on MIDI Toolkit: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/288079951/ To add MIDI music to your own games simply remix this or backpack the MIDI sprite and add it to your own projects. All music is played using the note blocks! Full instructions for using this in your own projects can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/341202 This project is designed with remixing in mind! It allows you to import MIDI files from your hard drive and then play them, pause them and stop them from within your own projects via simple broadcasts. Select the instructions option in the toolkit to see the easy steps required to import MIDI files. Visualizations are supported but are also entirely optional. They can be disabled or you can use your imagination and create your own! The MIDI sprite is the heart of this project and is fully commented. The other scripts act as examples (and are also completely commented). #music toolkit allows you to easily add MIDI music to your own projects. Not only does this use a lot less memory than MP3 files but it also means that you can pause your music! The background music in this project is being played using the MIDI Toolkit.)
