OTHER INFO------------------------------------------------------ For those of you drummers, or "to be" drummers... Because of the lack of accents, and lack of Latin percussion instruments and lack of 16ths, and even 32nd notes, a lot of the beats I made are technically incorrect, including, but not limited to: The "Jazz" preset, in jazz they usually use drum brushes to get that smooth sound, but, I replaced the Ride cymbal with an open Hi-Hat for more accurate sound design. The Amen Break, the ride cymbal is VERY wrong, and should be played lighter. The "Raggae" preset needs accents on the High toms, and needs to be a bit faster. In the "Cha-Cha" preset the rimshot should be a cowbell. (Insert needs more cowbell joke.) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) In the "Samba" the open Hi-Hat should just be an accented closed Hi-Hat. Also, the "Blues" preset is in triplets! Just thought I would say that. :) VinCrafts' Commentary------------------------------------------ Well, this was a surprisingly hard project to make, for me, anyways; but also there were a lot of challenges, and I mean A LOT! When I first made the Music code for the project it was too long for the 400 character limit in Scratch comments, so I had to shorten it, which took a lot of work... Also, I procrastinated a lot on this project, near the end and, I just couldn't, I was VERY close to releasing it and I just didn't. I also procrastinated by playing with the project too... it is pretty fun! And I am proud of that, and this project, however, I think that the project is going to be too confusing for a lot of players, a lot of the beta testers were confused... but, I REALLY wanted to move on to another project that I have been procrastinating for a long time. Also, layering in scratch is a NIGHTMARE! it was a drag to fix the layering… but, whatever, what is done, is done. Thanks for listening! CREDITS------------------------------------------------------------ All the graphics, code, designs, animations & ideas are by me, VinCrafts The Snare, Bass, Crash, Closed & Open High-Hat, were provided by Scratch. However, the Rimshot, Ride cymbal, and High, Mid, and Low toms are from multiple websites, including: https://www.soundsnap.com/ & https://freewavesamples.com/ Also, thanks to these videos for being super helpful for the presets, mostly the Latin ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw9vjEB1S2Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkGguKJ1MfM And obviously, thanks to Scratch for providing the engine to do this.
