Game Introduction
(warning: spoilers and uncomprehensible rambling; this was all written 30 minutes after watching the movie) OKAY I HATE THIS MOVIE BUT I LOVE IT? WE HAVE A LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP. SO UH, IM GONNA GUSH ABOUT DUMB STUFF FROM THE MOVIE Barb. ba r b b a r b hg,mnhjfyjtj barb I LOVE HER SO MUCH SHES SO PRETTY BJVHGFCDH i was genuinely interested in her okay. she's my favorite, and she's a lesbian don't @ me. also don't. get. me. started. about. how. happy. she. gets. around. poppy. I KNOW THIS IS A FREAKING KIDS FILM, AND EVEN ONE I HATE, BUT LIKE? THEY SHOULDVE BEEN TOGETHER. 'poprocks' is such a cute nickname. is that a ship name i see hmmm don't mind me Poppy is definitely the weak link she's so unlikable and ignorant like please shush but also when she's talking about barb when they're about to leave ShE MAKES LITTLE HEARTS OUT OF COTTON CANDY- also that one dude... i forgot his name but (hickory) i like him better than branch. I CALLED IT WHEN HE TURNED OUT TO BE THAT YODELLING GUY also the voice actor for ruby in su was in this movie, but i hate that she was so minor like smooth jazz troll no, every other one yes. yes. ALSO WHY USE OLD SONGS LIKE THE ROCK MUSIC WAS GOOD, BUT IVE BEEN LISTENING TO MCR, THIS IS TOO TAME. also they made gay lava and poppy thanos snapped music out of existence barb saying beep boop is my heart and soul sorry, I might be posting about this movie for a bit ;) (5/26/20) And now, a better review, 2 days later: So I liked the movie, but it's not my favorite. regardless, it has stuck with me. I loved the character designs; that's what drew me into this movie originally. The techno trolls are absolutely adorable, and it's just so clever! The Pop trolls are... kinda bland. They're not bad, I just didn't enjoy them that much. The classical trolls are neat, they are my least favorite of the new trolls however. The funk trolls? I adore them! Their energy is just *mwah* and I love it. The hard rock trolls are definitely the best; They get the most screen time out of the new trolls, and they deserve it. The country trolls are cool too! Delta Dawn was just gorgeous, and I loved the centaur-like designs! The little sub-species of trolls were cool too. The Smooth Jazz one wasn't my favorite, but the mixed media bit was very pleasing to the eye; very vaporwave. And then we Have Hickory and Dickory, the Yodel Twins; Hickory was amazing, he's like a therapist, and his interactions with Branch were pretty heartfelt. At the time, Branch was pretty jealous of him since Poppy paid a lot more attention to him, but Hickory made it clear that he didn't desire romance, and comforted Branch, as well as gave him some advice. TLDR, Hickory is pure. As far as the animation goes, it's a lot more cartoony than the original, and I like that. If you pay attention to the background/scenery, you'll see a lot of pretty cool things, like how the country area is covered in quilts, or that the floor in Lava Rock City was made of leather. The character animation was also great! This also compliments Barb's design, as her model has bigger eyes, and is much more expressive; I really liked that, since... well... she was adorable! The music? It's alright. I'm not too big of a fan, but Crazy Train and Barracuda? Yes. Please. The ending song was kinda 'meh' though... So the voice acting? Great! The delivery of the lines wasn't too awkward, and the dialogue fit the characters. I found myself laughing at this movie a lot! Overall, I would rate this movie a 7/10; not perfect, but enjoyable. Is it worth 20 dollars? Maybe. But yeah, I like Trolls now.
