Black Lives Matter

Game Introduction

The story of George Floyd (please comment any corrections below): On May 25th, 2020, a 46 year old black man called George Floyd allegedly used a counterfeit $20 bill to buy a pack of cigarettes. The police were called and Floyd did not attack them in any way. He was handcuffed, but would not get in the police car because he was claustrophobic, and fell to the ground face down. Derek Chauvin, a whiter officer, knelt on Floyd's kneck to restrain him, and did not get up, even after Floyd repeated "I can't breathe" 16 times. Bystanders told Chauvin to get off Floyd's neck, but he refused to listen to them. George Floyd begged for the police to stand up and stop putting pressure on his neck and back, calling out for his mother and saying he was going to die. After 5 minutes of being knelt upon, the man lost conciousness. Chauvin continued to kneel on his neck for an additional 4 minutes, though another officer suggested moving after checking for and finding no pulse. The officers called medical help, but made no attempt to help Floyd. In fact, George Floyd used a perfectly legal bill to pay and he acted calmly and never tried to hurt the officers. Nevertheless, they killed him without even trying to save him. This, this is why we must stand up. Because Floyd and many others deserve justice. It's time for change. ~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~ Art by me- use with credit Mouse trail code by @MysticUnicornSparkle Music is by Fesliyan Studios ~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~❤~ Be proud of who you are! How To Play

Everyone is human and deserves to be treated that way. We can get through these tough times together. Even if you aren't black, this affects all of us. Stand up for human rights and equality! Most of the people on scratch are teenagers or kids. It's time for change, and even kids can make a difference. Don't be silent. "He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it." -Martin Luther King Jr. I myself fit neither the African-American nor the LGBTQ+ demographic, but I am an ally of both and believe that they deserve equality and will get it. We have been fighting this fight for many years, but one day, America (and the rest of the world) will be as it should be. "O, yes, I say it plain, America never was America to me, And yet I swear this oath— America will be!" -Langston Hughes
