Christmas Lights
Game Introduction
Ahhhh I'm featured!! It's happened to me once before, and again, I wonder why they chose me :D Thank you to whoever suggested this project to be featured, I never thought it would happen again. And look at all those remixes. Wow. Merry Christmas, or whatever other winter holidays you celebrate with your family! I'd love to hear in the comments what your favorite part of this season is. I would suggest double clicking the flag so that the code lines up best with the music. Turbo mode also works pretty well. This year, my family went to go see this super cool light show that changed on the beats of a radio station, and it inspired me to make this! Anastasia is one of @jeila's and my favorite movies, and this song is beautiful, so I decided to use it to animate. As a bonus, it's not really a song for any specific holiday, so hopefully, everyone can enjoy it regardless of what you celebrate in the winter. I didn't do the whole thing because it was taking forever and there was so much code already xD Hopefully, this project will load for everyone. Funny story, I watched the actual movie while making this, and I realized there was a MUCH shorter version of this song in it. Should have used that one xD but I had already gotten pretty far and I didn't want to start over. After the light show is done, there is a section of the project that's sort of like a game... idk? xD You can click on the buttons around the screen to choose a section of lights and use the slider to change their colors. Also, I added a sprite inside this project with costumes of the individual lights and the background, and that sprite also has the code that I used to change all the lights to different colors (it's in the more blocks section). I think it would be beyond cool if somebody wanted to remix this project with their own "animation", to finish what I've done or choose a completely different song. Just delete all of the other sprites and duplicate the remaining one 6 times. Each sprite gets one costume of a bush/window/roof ledge. That way, each sprite also gets all the correct color coding. Also, feel totally free not to use the color code that I've created, or to draw your own house and your own lights, anything would be soo cool. I hope this project is enjoyable for everyone to watch! I was thinking about making an option to go to the customizable section first, or having a volume control on that section, or adding a button to make all the other buttons and the slider disappear. If there are any of those you want to see or more suggestions you have to make the project better, please put them down in the comments!
