Here's what each district was known for. The Hunger Games series introduced the fictional world of Panem, a nation compromised of the Capitol and several outlying districts. Each district was responsible for a different segment of Panem's economy and, together, they kept the post-apocalyptic world habitable. There were twelve distinct districts within Panem. The entire nation was run by an authoritarian-totalitarian dictatorship led by President Snow from the Capital. The laws were violently enforced by the Panem government and their army of Peacekeepers. A thirteenth district, which was independent of Panem, continued to operate in secrecy which later came into play during the rebellion efforts, which ultimately failed. ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴊᴇᴄᴛ ═.☆.═══════════ Every year, Panem forced two children from each district to compete in the Hunger Games, a deadly event that pinned innocent citizens against each other. Due to the Hunger Games and the government's treatment towards most of Panem, many districts viewed the Capitol as their enemy. The government highly depended on the districts to supply products through a wide array of industries. Here's a breakdown of what each district in Panem was known for. Enjoy this informational slide, it includes what each district is known for, what the cats are like there (sizes, pelt colors, weight, etc..), and name choices. ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀʀᴇɴᴀ ═.☆.═══════════ Arena wear was the clothing worn by tributes during their time in the arena. The clothing was new and identical for each tribute. The stylists had no say in the tributes' uniforms but were often able to use the clothing's composition to provide clues regarding what might be encountered in the arena. Tributes could also wear or carry a personal token in the arena, as long as it didn't give them an unfair advantage in the games (i.e. Mockingjay pin). Each district carries its color on a stripe. For example, each slide has a different color that represents the district.
