He Had A Dream [MLK] | Original Song
Game Introduction
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream. He had a dream where human beings would no longer be judged by their skin color and treated as equals. Unfortunately, that dream has not been fulfilled yet. But someday, it will be. One day, everyone will treat their fellow human being as an equal, regardless of skin color, gender, religion, nationality, beliefs, and other identifications. Because after all, we're all human. And if we don't stand up for what's right, then no one else will do it for us. So why aren't more people standing up? Why are so many people just allowing racial inequality and mistreatment to happen without even attempting to make a difference? There were many peaceful protesters in 2020, who did everything right, who stood up for black lives despite the ongoing pandemic. But there were also those who took advantage of the entire situation. Those who robbed stores and did many other unspeakable acts. Unfortunately, the truth is that there are good and bad people everywhere. Nevertheless, the truth does not justify slaughter. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. knew this. That was what he fought for. Freedom. Liberty. Justice for all. Those were the ideals he sought for every single person. The ideals that we must now continue to fight for. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. & MLK Day 2021 (1/18/2021), this is an original song composed, sang, & played entirely by me. This is my first time making an original rap. Rap is definitely more difficult than singing, because the rhythm plays much more effect while rapping. Interestingly, I'm proud of it. The background instrumental and drum beats really go with the rap. (The rap doesn't cover the entire song, just a quarter of it.) I am also very proud of the instrumentals. They turned out so much better than I thought I would. Unlike my other compositions, my background instrumentals in this song were much more diverse. The reason I decided to make this song was because I had been given a 30-day-challenge in school. This 30-day-challenge was to motivate me to do anything in 30 days. I decided to compose a song within 30 days. With MLK day coming up, what better than to compose a song for it? I nearly didn't get it done, though. I had a lot of schoolwork and I really had to push myself to work harder and accomplish something like this. But the end result was completely worth all of the effort. And once again, a huge thank-you to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There is no doubt that the world wouldn't be the same today without his influence, and this song is composed in honor of him and all that he did.
