Pencil Studies! I used references for all of these studies !!! Studies help a lottt, digital or traditional. Almost all the art I post on this account are studies. If you want to improve and haven’t gotten into the habit of studies, do them! I suggest getting Pinterest to help, I have other 6k saved posts there, most of which are references :) once I started doing these digital and traditional studies, I improved a lot. I didn’t use to do them, which is a big regret of mine ;; these studies aren’t meant to be perfect either, feel free to comment critics but chances are I already know what’s wrong with some of them xD the proportions and faces are messed up on some of them, but that’s okay … All of these were done starting in late October, i have over 30 pages of studies, which to me is less than I’d like, but not bad. These were done quite quickly, none are perfect, but that’s not the point :) … My favorite pages are the ones were I just drew Yuzuru Hanyu (1/25) I’m really proud of those xD he’s the perfect model for studies … ※ Materials used are in the project - A scarlet red and blue prismacolor col-erase, a uni color eraser (best eraser I’ve ever used) and this pikachu eraser I got at the Pokémon center, which is really good as well, and cute! I also use my 0.5 mm gudetama mechanical pencil :) I scanned these images on a printer in 300 dpi … COMMENTARY :) 11/15 used a rose col-erase The following were studies off of of tutorials/art (mostly from my Pinterest anatomy folder): 11/28 (feet) - https://pin.it/466hpOq here’s one reference used, artist is 타코작가 11/29 (legs) and 12/05 used some references by Toshi on pixiv 12/06 and 1/20 (feet) Manga_Materials, super great anatomy references 1/20 (cartoon people?) referenced from @/animesijyuku and other photos of sketches I found 1/23 (hand reveal?) I used my own hands as reference xD 2/18 was referenced off of old paintings … TIPS FOR STUDIES : 1.) look up Manga Materials on youtube, they have a video about studies which is helpful (there are subtitles) 2.) Try to look at the references, specifically photos, as shapes and angles, especially shadows. Try to compare the location of certain parts to others to figure out how accurate it is, and pay attention to the negative spaces (like the shape of the gap between the legs or hands, etc.) hopefully that explains/helps xD … Feel free to ask questions, but please read the description before asking since I might have answered it already :) if you want a link to a specific reference, ask and I’ll try to find it.
