Wumpus
Game Introduction
With apologies to Gregory Yob, who was tragically carried off by bats to a bottomless pit in 2005. According to ancient lore, the peculiar dungeon layout in the original game was developed as a reaction to the tyranny of rectangular grids. For better or worse, I have made the rooms into rectangles, with three passages each, while retaining the original icosahedral topology.
How To Play
Use Arrow Keys to move; Space Bar to shoot. Watch out for: THE WUMPUS: Normally sleeps peacefully in one room, but it is deadly when disturbed. Easily startled by misfired arrows. A peculiar smell indicates that the Wumpus is close. THE TELEPORTATION BAT: Randomly moves you to another room. You can sense when the bat is in an adjacent room by listening for the flapping sound. THE PIT: Two deadly pits are located in the dungeon. A draft of air warns you that a pit is close. ARROWS: Fire arrows with the space bar. They can be fired into any adjacent room.
