Chain Link

Game Introduction

This was really fun to make, but it was also very painful at the same time. There's a lot more stuff I could have put in, especially in the menu screen, but I'm still really proud of how this has turned out. I may or may not add more to this later on. Experiencing lag? I scrapped them because I didn't see how I could implement them, but I didn't delete them because I just didn't feel like it lol - How did this project get in the "Propose Projects to be Featured" studio wHAT = Credits = - All of the music in this game comes from Tetris (CD-i), composed by Jim Andron. - UNO, the game that inspired this one, was made in 1971 by Merle Robbins. How To Play

Welcome to Chain Link, a card game heavily inspired by the likes of UNO, but made entirely by me. The main objective of this game is to empty your hand before your opponent can do the same. You do this by playing cards with matching numbers or colors, one after another, to create chains. If you are unable to play a card, then you must draw cards until you can. If, after drawing three cards, you still cannot play, then you must pass your turn. Along with the numbered cards, however, there are special Chain Breaker and Chain Link cards. Chain Breaker cards can be used to stop your opponent's turn early. You can also play them on your own turn, but this is not recommended unless you have very few other cards left. Chain Link cards, however, act as a wild card, and can be used to link any two cards together. As such, it is recommended to hold onto them for as long as you can. When a player runs out of cards, the round will end, and a new one will begin. If you are playing for points, the winner will earn more points based on how many cards they chained together throughout the round. Once the selected win condition is met by either player, the game will end.
