How To Play

READ HERE ========================================= Alto's Odyssey ========================================= You are alto. Poor alto lost his cat. Can you help him to reunite with his cat? Play as alto and navigate him through the obstacles in his path :D Click the green flag(twice or thrice) to begin with the marvelous journey!!! ========================================= Instructions: # TURN OFF TURBO MODE IF ITS ON! 1) WASD or ARROW keys or MOUSE/TOUCH for movement. 2) This game is mobile friendly i.e can be played on smartphones. 3) Press v key on keyboard to adjust volume using slider. press v again to hide the slider. 4) U like dark mode? press N key on keyboard for night mode and D key on keyboard for day mode (default is day mode) 5) Aim is to chase the checkpoint. 6) In the level selector I advise to start from level 1 although all 10 levels are unlocked by default. 7) Stay away from lava and spikes. 8) Mushrooms give a high jump. 9) Near a sign board, hold space key to interact. 10) In case of any bug (I tried my best to remove all but still, like sometimes you sink into the platforms) hit the 'R' key (R FOR RESPAWN) and try to beat the level again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Features- 1 Completely animated character. 2 level selector (the most complex code in this program) 3 Parallax backgrounds (you can notice the mountains and grass moving) 4 Jumping mechanism 5 Interactable things in the game stage. 6 volume control (simple but gets the work done) 7 wall detection 8 wall jumping 9 Animated death scene. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- A word from the developer- I'm feeling proud to present my best project till date. I spent a whole week in designing the game and yes, I've poured all my efforts into this. All I hope is that the viewers enjoy my project. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra- I wanted to add many more features but alas, I had no time left before deadline...(feel free to checkout the project with see inside option). I spent all the IT classes conducted in school tp create this project. The project is well furnished but still there might be little bugs here and there but that won't make the game unplayable. Feel free to comment down in the section. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If project doesn't load then the problem is with your internet connection (file size is just over 2MB) Special thanks to @amylaser for her artwork, i took the artwork from her Scrolling platformer engine.
