GIF Maker - Animated Cubes
Game Introduction
I will be interested to see the GIFs that you make. Note: The last sprite in the project contains extra code that resets the coordinates of all cubes after 4 moves rather than each cube completing its 16 move cycle. This cubes animation repeats after 4 moves, with the cubes again matching the start positions (although not with the same cubes in the same positions) and the cubes again move just like all the original cubes. By renumbering all the cubes into their start positions, we only need to document 4 moves rather than 16. Note: I originally wrote this project as a true 3D project in which you could rotate all the cubes with the arrow keys while the animation was running. The cubes were drawn with Pen rather than stamped. To make the project simpler, I then removed the 3D rotation code. As the cubes are only translated/shifted rather than rotated they can be stamped.
How To Play
Green Flag - to see an example animated Cubes GIF. The Tutorial shows how to make your own GIF. The scripts are all already written in the project. You only need to supply inputs for the starting positions for your cubes, and a description of how they move in the easy-to-use CAT Language (Cubes Animation Text Language). Your inputs are written in custom blocks. "See inside" the project after viewing the tutorial if you want to make your own Cube GIF. * You enter all the cube data in the first sprite. You can delete all the tutorial sprites and the title sprite when you make your Cube GIF. I will be interested to see the GIFs that you make.
