This is a short, ‘animation,’ based of the the 1822 Christmas story, The Night Before Christmas! I adapted it for a Scratch version with Scratchmas Scratch Cat instead of Santa! Happy Holidays to you all and an epic new year! >>>…~~{{{[[[>>>SCRIPT BELOW<<<]]]}}}~~…<<< T’was the night before Scratchmas, When all through the script, All the sprites had their coco, But even Giga’s had dripped. The code was made ‘round the project with care, In hopes that Scratchmas Scratch Cat would soon be there. The sprites were all nestled, All snug in the library, Whilst the scratch team were thinking, Of a new SDS quietly. Griffpatch and his followers, And I with a single like, Were all getting ready, for a Sceatchmas movie night! When out in the home page, a poof and a clatter, I sprang from the stage to see what was the matter. Away to featured projects I ran in a dash, I checked every project, ‘till I saw a great flash. Every like, every favourite, gave a shine to the sky, Reminding me of old Gobo’s, sweet winter pie. A great big surprise, of what was to appear, A cheerful old sleigh, Pulled by neigh pony reindeer. With a little cat driver, Who owns a red hat, I knew in a moment, It was Scratchmas Scratch Cat! More rapid than butterfly 2, his courses they came, Then he whistled and shouted and called then by name. On Abyy, on Amon, on Avery, on Andie, on Ben, on Calvert, on Casey and in D money! To the top of the costumes, To the top of the wall, Dash away, dash away, dash away all! Upon his cries the herd started ti fly, They then dashed of into the sky. To each and every rooftop, was the course they flew, Carrying toys and presents, with Scratchmas Scratch Cat too! In the sounds, I heard it on the rooftops, the sparkles the Boolean Blocks, from each and every hoof, As I got out of bed, I began to turn around, Down the chimney, Scratchmas Scratch Cat came with a bound, He was dressed in all furs, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot. A bundle of toys he’d flung on his back, And he looked like the Scratch shop, showing its pack. His eyes how they twinkled, his whiskers how merry, His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry, His cute little mouth was drawn up in a bow, And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow. His laptop for coding, he held tight in his hand, And his games were merry, and frankly quite grand. He had a broad face, and a little round belly, That shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly. Hohoho! He was a small and orange, jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, to pleasure myself, A wink of his eye, and a twist of his head, He soon told me so, I had nothing to dread, He spoke not a word but when back to work, He filled all the stockings and turned with a jerk, And layer a finger on the tip of his nose, He then gave a nod, up the chimney he rose. He jumped to his slay, and to his team he gave a whistle, And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight, Merry Scratchmas to all, and to all a good night!
