From Earth to Mars

Game Introduction

If you go inside the project and look at the costumes for the rocket sprite, you will notice something interesting. In fact, the fact that I said "costumes" plural tells you something already. I originally made the rocket look like the Saturn V, since I didn't know what kind of rocket goes to Mars. I kept the costume because it was really good, and later I may add the option to choose between a mission to Mars or the Moon. For now, its just there. ____________________________________________ Mission to the Moon is now out! It's still just a one-way trip, but that could be changed if you guys want! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/881025986

How To Play

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG FEATURED 8/7/2023!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TYSM ST!!!!!! I dreamed this would happen but never really expected it! I am replying to all the comments except those that say a compliment (I still read them and thank you for your compliment, but there are just too many to reply to!), that are talking to others, and that are advertising. I just got back home from a trip, logged in to do something and also check my email and scratch, and found like, 640 messages or something! I have no clue how this happened, but thank you to whoever made this happen! ___________________________________________ PLEASE No advertising! They will be deleted! This is overwhelming as is, and I don't need more stuff! Fixed the play button and it now says "several months" instead of "a few days" That's all for now, but I can add more stages eventually. ____________________________________________ This is for Scratch Camp 2023 Week 2 Mission to Mars ____________________________________________ I decided to create an animation from Scratch Camp this week. This is strange, because I usually do art or games. An animation was something I hadn't ever done before, at least not a full one, meant to be watched for a few minutes, rather than a few seconds, as an intro, or part of a game.. But I did it, and now I present to you my first animation ever, From Earth to Mars. Watch as a rocket takes off for Mars with a new NASA rover inside. It travels through space for a few days (it would really be years) and lands. Some parts are narrated by text-to-speech blocks, like the countdown. You constantly hear the rocket, and the wind at the beginning and end. I had more ideas than I could code, like showing the control room and the place where the rocket would have been built before the countdown, and more talking at first. I also had hoped to show the rocket in different stages, but I wasn't able to. If I were to make a moon and mars version, you would not see the Saturn V's 3 stages and other maneuvers. Beyond that, everything should be pretty accurate. Thanks for watching, and I hope you like it! ____________________________________________
