Game Introduction

❀ (cont.d) So they either were wiped out, went back to their sky islands, or - and here's my first major theory I came up with - the king of Hyrule drove them out. See, if this all DID happen 10,000 years ago, at the last Great Calamity, it was mentioned that afterwards the king banished the Sheikah because of their technology. Wouldn't he have done the same to the Zonai, because of theirs? However, this may not be correct, as it is not proven that the Imprisoning War occurred around then. Later, Link and Zelda encounter a mummified Ganondorf deep underground, pinned down by a glowing hand, which is obviously of Zonai origin. All those years ago, this must have been what remains of when Ganon was sealed - and the source of the Calamity. As mentioned in Zeltik's video (YouTube), it is very likely that the Calamity was just Malice, and incorporeal - as seen in BotW. As explained by Zeltik, the true root of the Calamity is Ganondorf himself, buried underground. Until he is destroyed, Calamity Ganon can never be sealed and will continue to return. Near the end of the gameplay, Link wakes in a similar manner to BotW's opening scene. His arm has been destroyed by Ganon's Malice (and the Master Sword too) and replaced by the Zonai arm. This further proves that he may be the hero chosen by the Zonai to finish off Ganon for good. One more thing to mention are the Champions. Obviously they aren't coming back, since this is a sequel but I'll miss Revali :'( Their descendants are present, though! Some people keep saying that Riju is "the young version of Urbosa" or saying that they saw Urbosa in the trailer, but that doesn't make any sense - this is a SEQUEL, not a PREQUEL! And nobody seems to recognize Tulin, even though he's pretty distinguishable :l Sidon, Yunobo, and Riju are proven, but there's no sign of Teba. My main theory for this is that Teba somehow died (or went missing) and Tulin is the Champion in his place. There's more in the gameplay (by ApTreX on YT), but I'm not going to include a summary of all 20 minutes here - after all, I'd prefer to experience the story myself! ❀ PRETTY MUCH ALL DISPROVEN: Yeah. None of this is canon. To be fair, a lot of other people had really weird theories about this game, and mine is definitely one. **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** That's it for this theory compilation. I hope you - actually, who would even enjoy this?! Maybe me. I like laughing at how cringy my ideas used to be. Please leave a heart + star if you enjoyed!

How To Play

**✿❀ Cringy Theories I Made Up Before Playing TOTK❀✿** ❀ Bonus Episode, Season 1 ❀ Phoenix's Zelda Theories **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** These are SUPER cringe guys. I promise I'm better at writing theories now. These are really old. Basically a compilation of my worst work :P **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** ❀ Theory 1: "Is Zelda Part Zonai?" ❀ Original Link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/850028326/ ❀ In BotW and AoC, Zelda's mother is mentioned as having died when the princess was very young. However, nothing else is known about her, with few hints and clues, even in Creating a Champion. This leaves fans to wonder who exactly the queen was. We know that Zelda's father, King Rhoam, was a Hylian, but what about his wife? Is it possible that she was a member of the ancient sky tribe? After all, Zelda has some connections to the Zonai. She's researching them at the start of TotK, and she's seen in Zonai clothes during many trailers. There have been screenshots of the game, showing her with two other people, one of which is Rauru (the Zonai). Additionally, I've read that we discover something shocking about Zelda's true self at the end of TotK. Could this be it?? ❀ DISPROVEN: Zelda is descended from Zonai, but her mom was not one. **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** ✿ Theory 2: "Recall Actually Means Two Things" ✿ Original Link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/861689145/ ✿ So I recently noticed something about this ability... Whenever Link finds a Dragon's Tear, he glances down at the Recall symbol on his hand. I was instantly reminded of how "recall" can actually mean two things as a verb: 1) To take back, call back, reverse 2) To remember On first glance, and when using the ability, Definition 1 may seem to fit it better- after all, its whole point is to reverse the movement of an object. However, don't forget that Zelda was the one to give you this ability. Sure, rewinding time is cool and all, but isn't there a deeper purpose? That's where Definition 2 comes in. Using this new power, you can view glimpses of Zelda in the past, and really begin to understand what happened to her. She obviously wants Link to know this stuff; why not give him a way to do so? ✿ NOT Disproven: I actually still headcanon this, and I'm going to reboot this and repost it. **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** **✿❀❀✿** ❀ Theory 3: "Storyline Predictions" ❀ Original Link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/849171312/ ❀ Tears of the Kingdom will be out tomorrow, so I thought I'd share my top story theories! These are based on the trailers and gameplay videos I've seen so far. The Zonai aren't really mentioned in BotW, we only know that they created the mazes and ruins around Hyrule. But in the first 10 minutes of gameplay, Zelda and Link are exploring and find old carvings that depict an ancient event, "The Imprisoning War" which is the very same one mentioned in A Link to the Past. However, these show that the Zonai helped the Hylians create Hyrule, and then fought against the "Demon King", who can only be Ganondorf. We don't know yet what happened after that, but my guess was (and still is) that it has to do with the title. "Tears of the Kingdom" could refer to the kingdom of Hyrule, but Hyrule already had its "tears" moment back in BotW. I think it refers to the Zonai. Something happened involving the war, and they sealed Ganon.
