Shapeshifters do not have teeth or tongues - bearing proboscis instead - and feed by pollinating in their true form. These shapeshifters come in the form of a butterfly or moth, and are nearing extinction due to the growth of lepidoptera collectors, who trap and pin shapeshifters while in their vulnerable true forms. Their wing scales are also valuable to a collector. Due to this, Xerxes is rendered as one of the last surviving shapeshifters, and, similarly to the story of the real xerxes butterfly, shapeshifters are deemed extinct. I haven’t figured out the rest but that’s the direction I want to go with it lol --- --- saw the design and knew instantly I had to enter haha, sorry for making an entire animatic lol. I got just a little bit carried away (hope you guys don't mind i changed some parts of the design a lil bit, just to add some flair) guess who got sad over the xerces butterfly again and made this in five hours *jazz hands* bonus art at the end / in the project ! its butterfly and moth appreciation hours hope you guys liked it lol, even if I don't win the character this was exceedingly fun to create and I enjoyed every moment of it :] sorry for the weird audio cut at the start, there were a few seconds i didn't want lol - lychee ---
