How To Play
ScratchMusic is Scratch's best music streaming app! This project takes inspiration from music steaming apps like Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify. **What's new with ScratchMusic 2.0 ---------------------- ScratchMusic 2.0 is a much sleeker, more capable version of ScratchMusic that better resembles other music streaming platforms! With over 100 songs and 40 different artists, ScratchMusic has the largest library of any music streaming project on Scratch. You can now play songs by using the play buttons next to the song instead of entering a number, and you can add a song to your library without playing it first. Additionally, we have refined our search feature to be more user-friendly and better organized. Finally, we expanded the mini-player, which allows for more of a song title to be displayed, as well as a larger progress bar. The full list of improvements and changes is in the Notes and Credits. Scratcher Favorites (playlist) -------------------------------- The Scratcher Favorites playlist is a playlist with 15 songs that are voted on by YOU, Scratchers! Type any song (it doesn't need to be in the project, although it does need to follow our song guidelines* - see below) in the comments to suggest it. To upvote a song, type upvoted! Every 2 months, the Scratcher Favorites playlist will be updated with the top 15 songs of the past 2 months! Features and UI ---------------------------------------------- Songs: There are 130 songs available for streaming. Songs can be paused and resumed. To play a song, click the play button next to the song (NEW). Artists: There are 45 artist pages (excluding project manager) that you can access under the "Artists" tab. Artist pages will show all of an artist's songs on the platform. Playlists: ScratchMusic has a variety playlists that you can listen too, from 80s pop to Kygo and Similar Artists and more! You can access them by clicking on the "Playlists" tab and clicking the play button next to the playlist you want to listen to. Available playlists: Mira Royal Detective (Seasons 1&2), Big Ambitions EA 0.4 Playlist Highlights, Kygo and Similar Artists, '80s Playlist, Electronic Music Mix, Scratcher Favorites Your Library: You can add songs you like to your library and save them using a save code! Click the "add" button in the music player or next to a song to add a song to your library. If a song is already in your library, you can click "remove" to remove it. To generate or load a save code, click "Save/Load Library" (with the down arrow) and select an option. You can share your custom libraries in our Save Code Discussion Forum: Search: You can search for songs, artists, playlist, and within your library by clicking on the search bar and typing your query. Page navigation: Use the down/up arrow buttons or your arrow keys to load the next or previous set of list items. Mini-player: The mini-player at the bottom of the screen allows you to control aspects of your song, such as volume, or going to the next/previous song. It also displays the total time and time elapsed of the song. To view more details about the song, click the "..." button. *Note about songs on scratch ------------------------------ The community guidelines states that scratch projects must be appropriate for all ages. Songs with an "E" next to them will not be added to this project because they contain explicit lyrics. Some songs with mild language that are not considered explicit may be rejected as well.
