(AiWE) Dipped to Perfection
Game Introduction
Credit to @AidenLockhart (initial microgame idea), @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop (Paul, microgame idea, and feedback), @ChachorroLouco234 (stage jingles), and @TheScarfedStickman (idea of TV stage). A microgame for an upcoming WarioWare fangame. If you thought you were seeing Paul in that thumbnail... you're right! I actually worked with the Burg' on this one, and I can say we're happy with how it turned out. Plus, look at the artstyle! I see myself as more a vector guy, but hey, it's not the first time I've used this. Sure, this one took a while, but I'm not exactly in a rush to put these out, especially when I like quality. Anyway, the functions' functionings are here: The object of the microgame is to dip British biscuits into the cup of tea for a certain amount of time, indicated by a watch with a green zone. When the watch's hand is in the range, the biscuits must then be fed them to Paul by dragging them to him. Dipping a biscuit for not long enough will cause Paul to be unsatisfied, while dipping a biscuit for too long will cause it to break upon removal. - Level 1: There is one biscuit that must be dipped for a longer time. Paul has a bowtie, and the teabag is labeled with the letter T. - Level 2: There are two biscuits that must be dipped for shorter times. Paul has a top hat, monocle, and small mustache alongside a bowtie, and the teabag is labeled with a design of the flag of England. - Level 3: Same as Level 2, but the tea is steaming hot, and the watch starts slow before speeding up. Paul has a bonnet, a large mustache, a suit, and a kilt alongside a bowtie, and the teabag is labeled with a design of the flag of Scotland. [BEGIN DEVELOPER NOTE] = ASSETS = Besides the commands and stuff, this microgame has 40 costumes and 1 backdrop... yow. But hey, it serves as a good motivator to get my stuff together, optimize what exists, and think simpler with what doesn't exist yet. = ID = Might try out a system: update the IDs in [loadMG]. = INTEGRATION = To integrate this into a full project, the following must be done: - IMPORTANT: Update the microgame count. - Import these as normal: the sprite, the backdrops, the music, the broadcast script (into the chain of if-loops), and the practice menu costumes. - Add the microgame ID to the list of long microgames. - If applicable, add it to one of the speed lists. - Import the commands into Action 2, along with their script and sounds as shown. - If applicable, update the credits.
